Grant Information - Grant Application Form updated. All of the sales proceeds of the thrift shop, beyond store expenses, are available to Lutheran congregations in Arizona and Southern Nevada in the form of grants for evangelism and outreach ministry efforts.

Our Volunteers - Our volunteers range in age from 16 to 90+ years old. You do not need to be Lutheran to volunteer. We provide the training you will need.

Donations - We accept donations from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. On Tuesday and Thursday, we accept donations from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm. Please bring all donations to our back door, on the west side of the building. We pick up and deliver items within a 20 miles radius of the store once a week on Thursdays. There is a nominal charge for delivering items. Please call early to schedule your pickup or delivery as we often meet our maximum for Thursdays earlier in the week. History of the Thrift Shop - The East Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop began as a vision of Rev. Paul Halvorson, retired pastor and Assistant to the Bishop. Paul was hoping for additional funds to help the many mission starts in the Grand Canyon Synod as well as other ministry needs within the synod. The East Valley Lutheran Thrift Shop opened in November, 1999 and has met and even exceeded the synod’s expectations.
